Windows NT Messaging is a legacy email and workgroup communications client and MAPI subsystem for the Windows NT 4.0 family, developed by Microsoft Corporation. It provides the Inbox application and Messaging API (MAPI) services that let users and programs send and receive email, faxes, and network messages across local networks. Through MAPI providers, it can connect to Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Mail post offices, and it exposes Simple MAPI so applications such as Microsoft Office can send mail using the system’s default profile.

The client includes essential features such as folder management, address book integration, attachment support, and optional Personal Folders (.PST) for local message storage. Mail profiles and message stores are configured via the Mail control panel, enabling administrators to set up corporate mailboxes and transport services.

Windows NT Messaging is no longer developed and has been superseded by Microsoft Outlook for corporate messaging and Outlook Express for Internet mail in later versions of Windows. Today, it is primarily relevant for maintaining older Windows NT environments or running software that depends on the original 32-bit MAPI subsystem.

Windows NT Messaging is developed by Microsoft and is used by 1 user of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 4.0. The names of program executable files are exchng32.exe, mplayer2.exe, msnmsgr.exe, WinRes.exe and wuapp.exe. Works with msg file type.

You can check Folder Size for Windows, PdaNet for Windows Mobile, Routo Messaging and other related programs like Messaging Voice Player at the "download" section.
